ALL Mississippi children deserve the right to learn and grow in an accessible, quality, early childhood development and learning program, starting from birth. Learning can’t wait until kindergarten. 90% of the human brain develops between birth and age five, making this the most valuable time to prepare Mississippi’s children for the future. Mississippians recognize that parents and families are the most important teachers of their children, but there is no denying they need to be supported by a system that helps foster and encourage the lifelong success of their children, while impacting the long-term success of Mississippi.
